This is an initial telephone call or email. Claire will discuss your child's needs and the services she offers. This is free of charge.
The therapist will take a detailed case history and background information from the child's parents or carers. The therapist will use a range of professional assessments and observations to determine whether or not therapy will be beneficial or recommendations only. This will take place at the child's home/school and will last for 60-90 minutes. A written report will be provided within 7 days of the consultation. This report will either be a short summary or a more comprehensive analysis and be shared with other professionals, as agreed with parents.
Therapy sessions last 40 - 60 minutes and include therapy (with parent(s) present throughout), follow-up assessment as needed, and discussion. Outside the consultation, the therapist will prepare written therapy targets, plan and prepare material (this is included in the price). The therapist is able to offer a range of specialist therapy approaches tailored to the individual needs of your child.
