Children's Assessment and Therapy
Initial Phone or Email Consultation
Claire will discuss your child's needs, the services offered and whether or not an assessment is required or advice only.
Assessment
Prior to the assessment, the therapist will take a detailed case history by sending the child's parents/carers a referral form - this includes all background information. The therapist will analyse this prior to the session.
The therapist will use a range of professional assessments and observations to determine whether or not therapy will be beneficial or recommendations only.
This will take place at the child's home/school and will last for 60-90 minutes.
A written report will be provided within 7 days of the consultation. This report will either be a short summary or a more comprehensive analysis and be shared with other professionals, as agreed with parents.
The report will be provided once full payment has been received.
Therapy
Therapy sessions last 45 - 60 minutes and include therapy (with parent(s) present throughout), follow-up assessment as needed, and discussion. Outside the consultation, the therapist will prepare written therapy targets, plan and prepare materials (this is included in the price).
The therapist is able to offer a range of specialist therapy approaches tailored to the individual needs of your child.
